Fruit Preservation Methods | Mixed Berry Jam

One of the many things I have been growing in the garden this year, is Strawberries, which when it comes to fruit preservation methods, are one the best fruits to make into Jam.

But as you will see with this recipe, any summer fruit can be used, as long as you have the right weights and measurements.

So I wanted to give you a lower sugar jam, but ultimately one that works, and here it is, my Mixed Fruit Jam!


1kg Fruit
300g Sugar
1tsp Vanilla


In the full Jam Pot made:
Calories: 1534kcal
Carbs: 392g
Fat: 3g
Protein: 6.5g


1. Add the fruit, sugar & vanilla into a saucepan, and scrunch together using your fingers.

2. Put the pan onto a medium heat, bring to the boil, then simmer for 30mins.

3. Make sure to clear off any scum that rises to the top, It looks like froth.

4. Decant and allow to cool.
